In South Africa when you hear the words: “They are having a march”, the majority of people sigh and think: “O no, not another one!”
On Saturday, 27 April, a march with a difference will be held in Sabie. Organised by Care Buddies Sabie, a “Walk to Freedom – Jesus style” will be held. The procession will start at the Town Hall in Simile at 9h00, and people can join in along the way from the bridge towards town.
The idea behind this is not to demand, but to pray as a corporate Christian body. All Christians, irrespective of the denomination, are invited to join in the march. The day will start with a prayer in Simile and will end at the Town Hall in Sabie, with another prayer. The emphasis is on true freedom to be able to worship Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and to thank Him for what He does for us!
Any business along the route or in Sabie town that would like the marchers to stop and pray for their business are more than welcome to contact Eddie Cant on 063-587-1177.
Surprise the town and make your own posters and banners, colourfully proclaiming the name of Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The marchers will be escorted by Traffic control during the procession.
If you have any musical instruments that you can use to make music along the way, feel free to bring it.
