From the Editor...

Were you there when I made the world?  If you know so much, tell me about it.

While writing my editorial, lifting my eyes, I have the most beautiful view in the world.  The majestic mountains towering over our small town Sabie.  It is misty and cool, and a feeling of melancholy come over me.

How fortunate am I to live in one of the godliest places on earth.  However, is it really like that?  I believe it depends on with what eyes you look at it.  You can choose to complain about the cold, and not see the beauty.  Have you ever marvelled at the vastness of God’s creation?

Just looking at the beauty of nature, how is it possible that anyone can deny there is a God?  How can people claim that we originated from a baboon?  God himself made us with His hands and blew his breath into our nostrils.  Sometimes I just cannot understand how people can choose the darkness above the light.  How, when in your DNA and spirit you know He made you for him, still deny him and turn your back on him?

Job 38:4-7 (GNT) 4 Were you there when I made the world?  If you know so much, tell me about it.

5 Who decided how large it would be?  Who stretched the measuring line over it? Do you know all the answers?

6 What holds up the pillars that support the earth? Who laid the cornerstone of the world?

7 In the dawn of that day, the stars sang together, and the heavenly beings shouted for joy.

When you have the Holy Spirit in you, how is it possible to continue like before?  In my grandma’s house, there was a painting of the Narrow Way to God’s Kingdom as well as the Broad road to hell.  That has always intrigued me, so many people knowingly dabbling in the doings of satan, not realizing or caring what they are doing.  It is a dark world out there, and we must realize that He, although He is a loving God, He is still a just God.  He is true to His word!

Isaiah 60: 11 NIV. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

Thick darkness is over the people… What would that mean? It is people that hear the gospel of Jesus, and still deny it, it is people that know the Truth, but choose not to heed to His ways and still do their merry ways.  No judgement from my side, I just want to stand in front of my God one day knowing that with His grace and wisdom, I did my best to be a vessel of light for Him!  You have not been created for yourself, but for His glory.  Are you His glory?

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 –

6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.

14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,

16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
