When Thembinkosi Ndlovu from Harmony Hill in Sabie heard she was one of 20 winners in the national Spar win a car competition, she was overcome with joy. She received a uniquely branded vehicle, a Hyundai Grand i10, in the national competition that ran from July 24th to September 2nd. The keys were handed over to her at a function on September 28th.
“I’m so happy, I can’t even explain the feeling. This is my first time winning something in my life and God had answered my prayers that my prize became a car. I’m grateful to God and the Spar management, although I didn’t expect something so big in my life. This is our second car and I’m planning on using this car with my family. I will never sell or give it away,” Ndlovu said.
Her husband, Jezwell Khoza, further said: “We are very happy, so happy that God is huge and today we just witnessed His good deeds by winning this car. We are thankful to Spar management that they carried out this competition with loyalty and here we are reaping the benefits of it.”
Adrian de Salis, Spar Sabie manager said: “This is the first time someone from Sabie won, and I must say Thembinkosi is a loyal customer as she always shops here at Spar. On behalf of the management, this is how the competition works. At Spar, there’s a reward card that we give to all our customers who are interested and every time one shops, you give it to the cashier that registers the purchase. Our system randomly chooses and picks who will be the winner. We wish her luck and happiness in her new car and to use it well. We are trusting that she will keep on supporting Spar Sabie.”
