I just love that song: “No longer a slave of fear, I am a child of God.”

From the Editor...

Fear is a crippling factor that robs us of a life that God intended for us.  Fear of what?  Rejection, financial problems, death, isolation…  Think of what you fear today, even if you do not want to acknowledge it, hiding and running away from it!

God does not want you to live anything but victorious!  We are the children of God!  If God can split the seas why do we fear?  If He was prepared to give up the darling of Heaven for me… and you, why do we not live fully and with zest and energy?  Personally, I think it is because we do not trust Him and do not know the power we have because of Him.

Don’t you think it is time to lift up your head, pull your shoulders back and say: “No more!”  satan has stolen,  robbed and destroyed enough in our lives.  You can choose to remain a victim and wallow in your anger and self-pity, or you can start trusting God!  Even if you have been the victim, one or another time you must let go, forgive and move on.  I can hear in the spirit you saying: “She does not know my situation!”  I may not, but what situation can be worse for a Father seeing His Son hanging on the cross willingly, choosing to do it so that we can be free.  Free of fear, free of hurt, free of things that prohibit us from living a life of victory?

1 John 4:18:  Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.

If you cannot do it out of your own, then do it with the Holy Spirit.  Allow your hard heart to be changed to one of compassion and love for others, even if they do not deserve it!  When Jesus said on the cross forgive them, He actually meant Father forgive …………….. (put your name in here), she/he does not know what they are doing.

We get so caught up in our hurt and ideas of self-righteousness that we miss out on a relationship with a living loving Father!  We get to choose, be bitter or better!  Harbouring the negative just breeds more hurt.  No one has ever healed by negative thoughts replaying over and over in your mind.  You must let go, it is destroying you in your mind, body and spirit.  In the end, it is your choice.  I know these words may hurt you, but it is time to let go… Forgive if you must, hold with everything in you to God.  He is the only way.  Something I know with my whole heart is the following:  Proverbs 18v21:  The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Your thoughts and tongue can either destroy or build, it is your choice.  If you really, really want to get rid of the fear, live a life of trust and being carefree, then you must start speaking forgiveness and let go.

1 John 4:18:  Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.

You are in charge of your thoughts, life and will.  It is your choice, but I pray that you will make a decision that you want to overcome and not be a slave to fear anymore.
