On Saturday, January 20th, the Sabie Country Club B-team played against Lydenburg at the Sabie Country Club. Old foes met once more on the green with a great deal of humor and focus on the game at hand.  At the tee-off, all participants happily made conversation, whilst waiting for their pairing. It was obvious that winning here was of utmost importance to Sabie B-team, as a loss would place them below Swaziland, which was not a sign of happy trails. Luckily Sabie B-team made short work of their foes as they battled and secured a 6-2 victory over the Lydenburg B-team.

By the end of the 9th hole, the weather had made clear that it was to be a very hot day of golf. As players rushed to douse their thirst, the pride of a well-played game was well worn. Soon all pairings had completed the course and an overall satisfaction about their game was apparent.

With such positive results, Sabie B-team can look at future games with a little more ease, as the Lydenburg team was one of their toughest opponents.
