Tears of joy were flowing freely after declared Soccer Winners of 2017 Impumelelo Educational Trust Sports Day held on Saturday, October 14th. The championship match was held at Mhlangeni Township in Simile, Sabie.  A total of eight teams registered and participated in the completion.

At least four teams, which included Sabie Stars, participated in the tournament and Sabie Stars managed to win all three games and was awarded a gold trophy and medals.

“I’m very happy and excited by winning the trophy and to have this medal. All matches were very hectic but I thank our coach, Mr Andres Ngomani, our supporters who stood with us in all our games today and I also thank the team for their hard work,” said Mpho Mashego (16years), a Sybrand van Niekerk High School student.

“Today we showcased our talent in playing against other teams and supporting the trust by participating in the competition. We are happy because out of eight teams we managed to win all games,” said Sandile Mhaphosa (17years) Sybrand High School student.

“I’m very happy for the team and wish all people in Simile will participate in helping the trust,” concluded Andres Ngomani (40years) Sabie Stars Coach.

In addition, the day’s events including netball, Morava-rava, running, walking and soccer respectively on which all winners received medals, trophies, and T-shirts
