An exciting new venture in Sabie, between Adele and Arno Isemann of Nsemani Hardware, and Lance Ruis, led to the establishment of Dragonfly Creations on August 25th. At the by-invitation-only opening, each guest received a little gift and had the chance to browse through the shop. The finger food platters, supplied by Ligna Lodge, was absolutely superb and had the guest returning for more.

Arno and Adele Isemann are well-known in Sabie, not only for their hardware store, but they are also known for their volunteer work at motor sport rallies. Lance Ruis was a part time artist in Johannesburg. He was commissioned to do 200 paintings for a casino group and left his full time position to complete the task. His partner was offered work in Sabie and they relocated to Sabie in April 2016.  “Lance enjoys Sabie so much that he has decided that he never wants to leave Sabie and come up with the brain wave of opening Dragonfly Creation. The aim for Dragonfly creation is to get more local people to bring their arts and craft for reselling so that everyone can get some exposure.” Adele said.

At the moment, Dragonfly Creations is selling artwork, stationery, gifts, art supplies, educational toys, plants, garden ornaments and also home-made hand creams, bath salts, shampoo & conditioner. “In the near future we are planning to have some art and craft classes for young and old. And we would also like to target the tourism market with handmade leather products and gifts.” Adele concluded.
