Mbombela hosted different events this weekend in celebration of the change of season into spring. People came out in numbers to support the events that serve best their interests. The spring market day on Saturday, September 2, at Valencia Sports Complex was an event with great initiative, bringing together local entrepreneurs to showcase their work.
The aim is to create a platform for these entrepreneurs to network, grow their platforms while selling their products to the community. “We wanted to make shopping fun bringing in musical entertainment, nature and beautiful people together. With the weather so great it was a beautiful day to be shopping outdoors and doing what we love,” said Vera Sebuyi, event organiser.
Entrepreneurs arrived and set up their stalls to showcase their work. Moozy the chef showcased his eye catching food and drinks, African print trend designers, Ebenezer events and wedding specialists and others were present.
Entertainment from various local DJ’s and artists showcased their art. All the business owners were given a platform to introduce themselves to their businesses on stage. “It was great to see that there are more people who appreciate my work and I will be attending more of these events”, said Sebenzile Lubisi, African print trends.
Vera also mentioned that she worked together with Black Voice owner, Thammy Thwala, in making their common goal to be successful.
