It is with great joy and humbleness that we present our 100th edition of GPS News to you!  Firstly, thank you, my Heavenly Father, for the trust that you bestowed upon me by making this newspaper a reality.  What an honour and privilege it is to do our part to bring good and uplifting news to the community.  In financially difficult times it is only by God’s grace, as well as assistance and prayers of family and friends that we have reached this awesome milestone.

It all started with a dream one night.  I saw the name GPS News and knew in my spirit that it stands for God’s Provision and Salvation.  In the long road of nearly five years, we had our good times and hard times but is has and will always be an honour and pleasure to create the newspaper.

According to Wikipedia newspaper production is as follow: It is an act that actually starts from the gathering of news stories, articles, opinions, advertorials and advertisements to the printing out of these materials in a meaningful copy called “Hard Copy”.

Picking up the newspaper and glancing through it, I doubt if anyone that has not been in the same field will understand the hard work and dedication going into producing it.

Without the dedication and help of my wonderful staff, this would not have been possible.  I really appreciate their hard work and commitment!  Each and every one that has walked the journey with me to make our newspaper such a success, out of my heart THANK YOU!  To all our advertisers, without you, it would not be possible, THANK YOU!  To all our readers, enjoy this special edition, and feel free to share your testimonies and journeys with us.  Our paper is unique and values all contributions if relevant.

During the last 100 editions, there were times that I got tired, and wanted to give up, but I know this is what God has ordained for me, and I will only stop when He releases me to do so!  While going through a difficult time, someone called me with this verse:

Psalm 62 v 2: He alone is my Safe Place; His wrap around presence always protects me, for He is my Champion Defender; there is no risk of failure with God.  So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when trouble multiply around me?

How great is our Heavenly Father to inspire us with scripture and truth.  I am excitedly looking forward to the next 100 editions! Lastly but by far not the least, I want to thank my husband Thys for his support and love.  Liefie, dankie!
