Forever Hotel in White River is a 3-star establishment, ideally located both for business in Nelspruit and the surrounding towns and as a base for exploring this scenic part of Mpumalanga, just 25km from Kruger Park.
CJ van Dyk (28) was recently appointed as manager to the White River Hotel and Casa Del Africa Restaurant. After matriculation, he attended the Forever Academy at the Blyde Canyon. The FOREVER ACADEMY (affectionately called “The HUB of Knowledge”) was established in 2004 as the principal provider of training for the tourism and hospitality industry in South Africa.
Van Dyk’s career with Forever commenced at Blyde Canyon as a student trainee. Resorts where he gained valuable experience are Forever Resorts Badplaas and Mount Sheba. He was later employed as a Financial Clerk at Loskopdam Forever Resort and manager of Forever’s own water bottling plant. In May 2016 he was appointed Resident Lodge Manager at Waterfall, a Forever Lodge.
“I am passionate about tourism. My ultimate dream is to own my own hotel group one day, and although I am still young, I know that I will be the best manager for Forever White River Hotel. I am a humble person, enthusiastic and energetic. I prefer to be hands on and to be involved in the whole spectrum of our establishment. We accommodate from international tourists to locals, treating all with the same respect. Our establishment regularly receives compliments from tour operators like African Eagle, as well as from individuals that enjoyed their stay with us. I am grateful for my staff. Their hard work and dedication to excel are making our hotel the best in the group,” said Van Dyk.
Forever Resorts Lodges, Hotels and Retreats is one of the top tourism and hotel groups in South Africa. With more than 20 leisure and corporate destinations to choose from, they offer something for everyone—luxury lodges, adventure holidays, self-catering holidays, caravanning & camping, conferences, weddings, corporate functions, health hydro’s, beauty spas and much more.
Van Dyk further mentioned that he would like to invite the local community to visit their Casa Del Africa Restaurant. During the week they offer a-la-carte menu. On Sundays a superb lunch is offered, however, booking is essential.
